The Election Board & Commission for Hunt and Kaufman counties are managed by the counties themselves. The Poetry Election Team is a volunteer group of registered voters from the Town of Poetry that have donated their time in order to organize and implement at least two public candidate debates for the Mayor of Poetry and for the Town Council of Poetry positions.

 

The initial plan is to have one debate in March and one debate in April so that voters can be better informed of the candidates political positions prior to the town’s first election on May 1st, 2021. The Election Team will ask the candidates a series of questions chosen by the election team members at the scheduled debate.
