GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Committee Objectives

• Open to the Public – all meetings are to be accessible to the general public, ensuring transparency and community involvement.

• Post Meeting Schedule – The schedule for Committee meetings will be posted and made available to the public.

• The Committee will not have the authority to make final decisions regarding any matter.  The Committee’s role is limited to providing recommendations to the Town Council on zoning issues.

• Maintain Strong Adherence to state Government Code – all actions and recommendations made by the Committee must comply with applicable State Codes. 

 

Meeting Frequency

The Committee will establish how often meetings will be held.The schedule should be consistent and publicly available.

 

Committee Size And Make Up

The Committee will determine the number of members required and the composition that best represents the community and hopefully some level of knowledge or experience.
